The snow in Whistler is so good this year that everyone is trying to come here to shoot, including Warren Miller. I was joined by Ian Mcantosh, Shane Szocs and Jen Ashton for two weeks of mixed heli skiing, snowmobile and ski touring. We were blessed with some sunny days with good snow. We also shot a segment of Eric Pehota and I engaging in a usuall redneck day. Hopefully the segment comes out as fun as it was to shoot. Check out the funvalanch day Ian and I had.

I’m in the Nelson area heli and cat skiing with the Oakley crew. The crew consists of Seth, Tanner, Anthony, Kye, Greg Strokes, photogs, Blake J and Chris O and filmers CP and Phil. We started out with a day in the heli then a few days cat skiing at Snowater lodge. Snowater is a beautiful timberframe lodge that is stratigically located at the base of many of their cat skiing runs. After a night of partying in Nelson we’re north bound to Retallack lodge. We showed up to the boys from BCDC in their new band Jermun setting up in the backcountry lodge. Derick Wwesterland showed up with his staff and friends from freeride productions. What transpired was possibly the best backcountry party ever. It was good enough for the head guide to try and cut us all from skiing the next day! Thanks Retallack and sorry for the destruction.
