Mt Fee

t’s been a couple great days filming for the new 2 stroke Cold Smoke. The Whitehorse crew of Ross Mercer, clayton Thomas and Brandon are in town and hungry for some airs. We had a great day of blue sky and good snow in Brandywine before the useless IOC closes us down for 2 months. Some how they’ve convinced the powers to be that us snowmobilers are a terrorist threat during the Olympics. It was a typical day of dealing with breakdowns. Our Filmer Dave craig blew his drive chain so one of us tandemed him around all day so he could shoot. then we hooked up 3 sleds to him and pulled his broken down sled out.

Had an amazing trip to Revelstoke. Almost 2 weeks of Skiing, sledding and heliskiing. Conditions were great with the sun coming out to help for a bunch of days. The World freeskiing Association thru a contest while we were there. It went off with a bang. The final day they heli’d all competitors on top of Mt Mckenzie with no tracks before the day the competitors went off. Once again I was able to stay in the new Nelsen Lodge at the base of RMR. This was a different new years for me. Almost went to bed before the strike of midnight. 2009 ended with a bang. My brother Dave, Jordan Manley and I spent the last 2 days of 09 in some of the deepest snow possible at Great Canadian Heliskiing. The terrain these guys have is amazing. A good chunk of their tenure that we saw has been burnt by forest fires so the trees are perfectly spaced and with no needles on them you can see way in front of you. They also have some of the best pillow lines I’ve ever seen. GCHS is based right beside the highway on Rogers pass, so if you’re in the area check em out.
